Going to bump this even though it's a recent post. I will be there in the slug, there are numerous other track prepped E21's around the place; I expect you to attend. I know that the Silverstone trackday is the official biggie, but this is the important one.

You don't have to be in a track prepped car either, I used to do 250 miles in a day on track at Croft in my old blue car (OK upgraded but not hardcore trackday machine). Murran, Nas, Arshad, Rob, Mark & everyone else - get yourselves to Croft.

I reckon I can just about make this. Might even go for a cheap hotel and drive up the day before. It's north of Watford right?

Jim I would love to, but there's no way I can afford the fuel right or trackdays right now.

Getting close now :D

I have fitted new crank pulley and sensor bracket but waiting for correct sensor to arrive. Then it'll need the timing setting up on the rollers. I was going to fit the massive rad I have, but will need to magically find some hose adaptors/bits in order to do it. I have made a front splitter attached to my now slightly butchered motorsport spoiler, and will be attaching a rear spoiler to the car as well - in fact Nick will remember handing me a dodgy aftermarket wing the day he sold me the car - that's what's going on!

I have garage 5 booked, will as usual be shared with Jason. Feel free to come and say hello if you are around.

We will hopefully have a dedicated instructor shared between the two of us for the day,my Wife is hoping he'll tell me I am rubbish and should give up!

She's not in collusion with my mrs is she?

I would have liked to come up but have got Brands on August 1st for Retro Rides and doing a sprint event at Goodwood on the 6th. I might try and get up to spectate though.

Well the car is probably working, going to Ric Wood tomorrow to get ignition set up with new crank trigger. Had a problem with towtruck, turns out Shaun is using his truck on Sunday, not back till late, I want to be there early and organised.

Fortunately someone I have never met before came to the workshop today and lent me the keys to this...

All he wants in return is a small sum of money and a refill with diesel before I give it back. A true gentleman!

Result! :)

Have you got a video camera Jim? I wish I could go as it would be good to see what my track car goes like compared to the slug.
