locking fuel cap Rebuild?

I'd go and buy one from BMW, except I already did and it didn't work! Has anyone actually taking out an old barrel and replaced it with a new one? I'll be extremely impressed and grateful if someone has any tips on this. I've taken it to two locksmiths and no joy yet :hammer

hmmm...interesting. mine needs to be sorted out too...I'lll try taking it apart and Ill let ya know;)

Hey no rush bud, my car won't fall apart without it :) Just be nice to have it working again I guess. Look forward to some pics/info though :thumbsup

well....bmw lives up to its name once again. I drilled the pins out and I think I should be able to get it out now but I dont have the original key and my lock picking isnt as good as it used to be.:( Ill have to say sorry mate..I cant get into it either.

Hey no worries at all. It's a shame you didn't have a key to yours, mine kinda does. I'll see if I get a workaround and will post it up here if I do. Thanks again
