Ongoing starting problems cont'd

Post by PeterCS »

Still not had luck getting my e21 to start.

I wrote earlier on this issue and appreciate the help to date.

When I turn the key, all I get is a click and then engagement of the starter. Have checked the battery and the starter.

it now appears that there is no power getting to the coil.

Any more thoughts?

Peter

The starter and alternator are directly connected to the battery positive so if they aint working when you turn the key then the problem probably lies with power not getting to them firstly. Have you checked all your earths ?? When ive had dead mans click before its been down to shite earths
