m10 gearbox onto m20 auto engine?

I thought there might have been something on here about this but i have searched to no avail.
Right here's the question.... Can the m10 gearbox (not sure of proper name Getrag....) fit onto an m20 engine which was an auto.
If this is possible how would the tail shaft length be??

No, the bellhousing pattern/size is all wrong. A manual box from an m30 engine will fit but you'll need to make the tunnel bigger to fit it in.

M30 fits M10 rather than M20 so far as I was aware - Mark are you mixed up or misunderstyping?

mmm.... ok i guess i shall have to live with 4 cylinders.... its way to much hassle to get any new parts that i don't have..
