weber 38

Got a weber 38 dgas on my baur 320 straight 6...autochoke has never worked and petrol wise she is drinking me out of house and home....any suggestions can i use another weber change jet sizes etc etc

Normally the weber should be better in fuel then the Solex 4A1.

I have mounted a weber 38 DGMS onto my 320-6. This is the version with the manual choke.

oh! so there is a version with automatic choke?

Indeed there is. That is a weber 38 DGAS I think.

That's right. The original set-up is an Solex 4A1 with automatic choke. This can be with only the bi-metal and coolant and also additional with the thermovalve which electric moves the chokevalves and then let the bi-metal en coolant do the rest!
