Still can't figure out why sometimes (not always, only @ parking speeds) pressing the brakes causes the radio turn off and turn on again after one second...!!!

The circuit for the brake lights is taking power away from the radio. I would check to see where the power lead for the radio takes its feed from? I would also check your battery condition, clean the terminals and clean all the earths. I had exactly the same problem when my wipers & indicators kept shorting and blowing the fuses. I replaced the brake light switch and also found the wiring near the wiper motor had been worn through where it passes through the hole in the bulkhead. It was only a tiny short and took bloody ages to find. It drove Nas mental for a while too.

I've asked this before but what are those fuses called? Someone told me bullet fuses but searching that doesn't bring up anything relevant. I've not ahd one pop in two years thankfully but it would be handy to carry some spares as I bet the RAC don't anymore!

You could name them all individually I guess but collectively, they're bullet fuses.
