I thought it might be an idea to have a feedback thread for people who buy & sell E21 parts on here?
Just bought retro-bmw's early shell. Good communication etc.

I think it only works in reverse for commercial operations/suppliers
as we have on CCCUK
ie Recommended suppliers sharing experience etc etc
I have PM'd you with my thoughts!

I think it's a good idea. Lots of people from different countries (like me

), and hard to trust in unknown seller's.

Similar thread on e30zone seems to work well enough.

Works differently on the zone. What you need is for J to add a feedback section on the home screen, then there should be a thread for every seller and anyone can update the thread with a post of their experience with that paticular seller. Just randomly posting threads is going to be near useless as you will have loads of threads spread across loads of pages.

You simply start each post with ''*username* feedback'' and then use the search facility when you want to check someone out.

I'm going to take a different slant and say it would be a shame. I don't see e21.net fundamentally as a trading site. We have ebay for that. I've bought and sold stuff here. And like some of us, unknowingly sold stuff that was faulty. We'd have to have some pretty strict rules to make it fair. Such as, two weeks to put something right, being reasonable about expectations on second hand discounted parts and so on.
For example, is it fair to to say something was "not as described" when that person may have spent a couple of hours sourcing, then packing and sending a part? Most of the guys I've dealt with on here are not traders and are primarily doing it as a favour and charging a 'drink' for their time and packing costs. It's a bit cheeky to expect dealer levels of service without the associated costs and personally it would put me off selling.

exactly, we dont charge each other much or sometimes anything at all for parts. and if i owe someone a favour i dont forget it!
like wise me helping people out with their cars (gonzo/reck/drjim). covering my fuel and a decent amount of beer money is all it takes to get me out of the house on a sunday. plus i concider everyone ive met on here as friends.
