Well, I still needed to introduce myself on this part of the site, although I only posted in the Dutch part of the forum.
Offcourse the forum is so much bigger!

Well I'm a Dutch guy living in Tilburg, and a BMW E30 fan/owner....
Only 23 years young, but I've driven already some different cars!

Because to me Freude am Fahren is also changing experiences,

started with:
BMW E30, 318i, 1990, sold....
BMW E30, 320i, 1986, bought it to sell it again
BMW E30, 323i, 1985, what a wonderful car, no rust at all, bought it to keep ik forever, but then I had a severe car-crash in the French Alps.
Renault clio 1.4, 1994, my drawback as a result of the loss of my 323i :whistle
BMW E30, 316, 1986, had a wonderful trip to France with it, but it didn't give me that special feeling, so sold it again
BMW E21, 316, 1978, what a nice car and a really different driving experience than my E30's
Volvo 440 1.8, 1996, quite more luxury but to expensive in road taxes for me

well, I've said enough; my 316:

Bought it for a reasonable price, but it has some troubles since the moment of me buying.
Unfortunately I'm not a real handy person.

the former owner drove the car into a pole, so that left me with a hilly landscape on the hood

First thing that I wanted to tackle is the rust..... I could look outside from the boot so that had to be fixed!

the guy on the photo isn't me....

apart from rust, we also repaired the second step of the carburettor, because it proved out to drive only on the first stage instead of the two.
we also respraid the hood, only to get to a standstill without petrol when we drove with the car

and now I also put my winter tires on

oh yes,... the prove that I'm not technical, can be seen by the bad placement of the jack stands :screwy

Some more pictures; here can well be observed how the front panel that got resprayed, differs from color, normally it doesn't notice that much.

And yes; this was a christmas picture :D

me standing at the Belgian enclave of Baarle-Hertog in the Netherlands. Notice how the hood looks better with it's original color again. Offcourse, it isn't as neat as a new Hood, but it makes it unique !
