Ok im thinking of selling this because its been sitting in a rented garage now for the two years i have owned it, i had always planned on restoring it but time and funds will not allow that to happen so i was basically just wondering what you guys think it is worth, i was going to put it on ebay with a reserve of £1500.00, yeah some of you might think thats too much but then again there was only 200 of these made. Is it worth £1500.00 . The car is quite rusty in a thew areas but it is'nt that bad structurally, inside the boot is really good with just a very small hole, the chassis rails are solid, i have had the carpets out and the floor pans are all good with no rust showing apart from two very small areas on the inner sills next to the front jacking points, behind the back seats there is no rust, one of the outer sills as a couple of holes but the rest of it is good, the rear arches will need doing, the front wings have been changed at some point so are all good, the bonnet and boot will need replacing, the engine seems to be good i regularly start it up and run it for half an hour, it never over heats but some times the idle is a bit up and down. i have spent countless hours messing around with this motor and im sure it is way to good to break.

Nice motor but some of that rust is not cheap to fix (if done properly) and i am assuming if it was cheap, it would have been done by now. I would be interested but i think £1500 is too much for me. GLWS.

If i never had my other e21 which i spent over 4k last year alone on i would have difinitely had this one done up, i can honestly say that i've had no one look at it with the intention of getting a quote to fix it up. I know what you mean about welding costs though because i spent 2k on my silver one, what this car needs is some one like murran who can do it all himself.

If someone wants a rare e21 then a special is just the job. E21 values are set to climb and when people can't find an Alpina they'll look for an alternative.

If it's got an LSD Farrell, it will be worth at least £1,500 in parts alone (rear headrests, recaros, BBS's, 5 speed box, engine). It's an Edition S and while the body looks a little rough, I'd still give it at least 60% complete. If anyone can do the welding and a respray (I'd say £1, 1,500 its price is sure to climb as Mark says.
I find this more desirable than an Alpina anyway.

Would agree with others, worth at least £1500 to the right person, GLWS don't let it go cheap, it willonly go up in value.

+1 The thing with Alpina E21's is that you are paying for rarity and originality and paying over the odds for that priveledge. Whats a decent B6 2.8 worth, £20k. Thats the price of a 2002 Turbo, a very clean M635 or an immaculate E30 M3 EVO or some other limited edition M3 E30.
I was sucked into trying to get an Original E21 Alpina and looked at a few and had the chance to purchase some very clean cars....now, i just want a clean 323i. I know many will disagree, but for me a C1 E21 isnt "really" an Alpina and an E21 isnt the car for an M30.
I say to the wannabe E21 Alpina owners, open your eyes not your wallet and buy the best E21 323i out there and save yourself £££££ or buy an e12 M535i which is 10 times the car an E21 Alpina will ever be .

It does'nt have an LSD or power steering which is a bummer but everything else is there even the proper suspension and back foha spoiler.I have read some where that LSDs were not standard on these, who knows

I think I have a set of 5.5x13” multispoke alloys in opal green metallic which were on the "E edition if interested, I don't think LSD were standard either?

Wish i had the space to garage this. I'd snap this up.
Ive seen it and its a good original car. You get what you see and to me its the best way. Rather than spend money on a car you thought was a clean one.
i rather do the work knowing its been done probally.
Good luck mate

Is that why ya built a replica? Anyway wasnt B6 around 3 yrs before m535's were and as someone whos owned n raced both an e12 is no way 10 times the car. Testers of the time said about the balance alpina got with the m30'd cars and spose thats why there popular for e30 swaps to. Depends if ya want cars to drive or to try and make dough on?
