All,

It was about time for a new look for the website, decided to go for blog layout for easy updating. Posted some first things there and I will try to update this page on a regular basis and I will make sure to include links to some popular topics here on the forum. No expert with the format yet but the initial setup wasn't too challenging.

Lemme know what you think, suggestions are always welcome!

Finished the conversion of the website today, so all pages are in the new format now. I also took some time to update or expand a few pages:

- specs pages embedded as .pdf to make the columns fit, make copying a little harder and add a copyright background
- more info added on tuners like Hartge and Schnitzer including brochure scans
- still on the todo list (yeah I know for quite some time already): E21 racing history. Saving that one for a rainy day

Just take a look at http://www.bmwe21.net

If you have any problems or suggestions let me know!

Added buttons to share topics on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. You can find them at the top of the first post of every topic.

Congratulations on the revised website. Just a comment on the "specials" section - especially relating to JPS versions. These cars also came with a LSD and diferent rear spoiler (bigger). The wheels were 6 x 13. In Australia there was also a motorsport version (similar to the "S" cars in other markets) which were the same specs as the JPS cars but were not black and did not have numbered plates. Most were white with delete option motorsport stripes but there were a few other colours offered as well. Genuine JPS cars are now bringing high prices if they come on to the market but the motorsport versions not as high due to the difficulty of proof (no numbered plate) and the possibility of replicas. There were also as many as 7 cars made by Alpina Australia with varying specifications as described on their website (I have car 001!)

Thanks for the info! Luckily we have the brochure and it confirms the car was equipped with a LSD so I added that, but it doesn't mention the rear spoiler?

If there's more info on the Australian Motorsport version like a brochure or ad, I'd like to add that info as well.

Thanks!

Can't deny the popularity of Facebook hence the share buttons. Tried to make a local like button or a like button that links up to FB as well but that needs some more fiddling. In the meantime I added a custom profile field where you can add a link to your FB profile in the User Control Panel under Profile, or simply click here.

When you enter the address, it is shown as a link in your profile to enable others to find you on FB.

Kind request for all to rate the website if you have Web Rep (website reputation application).

This is when your browser shows website ratings like in Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome, the green rating bars. If you have a minute to spare, please click the bars (now still grey for bmwe21.net due to lack of ratings) and rate bmwe21.net, see if we can have bmwe21.net pop up as a trusted website. Thanks in advance. Here's some examples what this app looks like in your browser if it's active on your pc:

Firefox: Image

Many thanks in advance!

Well with a delay I had some trouble finding the cause... some people were allowed in, most were not. A corrupted banlist was the cause. Had to delete it to open the place up for all again, just hope that doesn't open up the doors to too much spam.

Thanks Lars for supplying the '95 brochure and triggering me to put it all up
