I sold my 323i and my 316 front calipers and now i sorta regret that cos now ive had a brain wave.

im wondering if anyone has / knows where i can find a technical drawing of the stock e21 caliper?

I don't have a technical drawing but I do have a pair of 323i calipers and some for solid discs sat in the garage.

Drop me a pm with what you need and I can always knock a drawing up for you.

yeah actually i have remembered that i should have all these parts spare soon - its a ball ache to measure as I need MANY measurements using proper digital calipers.

Im trying to design a v.cheap 300mm brake kit using parts from high performance cars. ready made kits are v.expensive.

Nas, I have some pistonless 316 calipers somewhere, are they of any use *IF* I can find them? That's a big IF!! Just postage if I can find them.

There's a set of calipers in the scrap pile in my workshop, I'll retieve them at the weekend.

Nope. Japanese 4 pot calipers, mounting brackets, 300mm disks from a mate who works at a place that produces brake disks.

So why does it matter what size the originals are, just make a bracket to fit the new ones in the right place.

I need to know bolt hole locations. don't have anything to mock up with. Until I realised I will have in a couple of weeks.

Ive got a spare set of 320/6 ones in my shed. I work at J41 of the M1 if you need em fast ?

Use the Wilwood brackets.

hey lads, many thanks for your kind offers. think im sorted now cant start this idea till a few weeks due to being busy with other stuff. Ill keep you guys updated if my idea will actually work or not.

Better to use a spare strut for mocking up
