Recommendations on door trims

The centre section of my Baurs door trims are disintegrating. The rest of the door trim is perfect. Can these sections be replaced separately or am I looking at new trims?

The driver's seat is on the way out too but I'm hoping to get my hands on a pair of recaros which need a total re-cover. I'd like to keep the beige colour as it contrasts nicely with the exterior colour.

Hi Andy, if you want the original BMW cloth there's next to no chance. Even if they are available you'll have to buy the entire seat covers/ food cards they don't come separately. You can get some pretty close replacements though, I'm sure someone on here can point you in the right direction.

I was afraid of they wouldn't be available.

Since the door cards are in otherwise good condition I was hoping to repair them, either with similar cloth or something which blends in with the style & colour. Not sure how a new section could be let in though.

I have a parts car available which has black all vinyl trims. Were the cloth/vinyl trims unique to Baurs or were they a trim option on other models?

If I can get the Recaros I will have to re-cover them & the rear seat to match so my other option is to get the door trims completely recovered at the same time. I had an E30 cab which had been done this way & it looked really nice. Pricey though!

Actually, I've just found the cloth section on the door trims can be replaced - The Neek has done it!

Before (this also answers my question on whether it was only Baurs that had cloth/vinyl trims)
