Rain, rain, rain. Stuffed up my annual trip to Wagga for the masters soccer tournament too...
Donor car saves again. With a day inside, decided to tackle the front seats which are rooted. Was thinking of spending $1,000 for re upholster but don't have money after trip to Manila and Zamboanga City (what a blast), so am swapping the seat bases by taking off the covers.
Here is my good base, one of side springs has snapped, but the cushioning is all good.

My interior, I have to glue down the carpet...

This is the good base, just before I recovered and, as you will see, reuse the tailored sheepskins:

Took lots of photos as went along, as am unfamiliar with how the tops detach from the base (otherwise can't get the covers off the seat base):

Bit trickier than I thought, you have to repair the tabs on the cushion and thread these through carefully - used cable ties again, what aren't cable ties good for??

Again, from donor car, the rear sheepies, which are also tailored. Have washed, here is the base:

And after the full install:

Here is the front, finally in. The old one just sagged and sagged, springs in your arse etc. This is much better:

All rails properly cleaned and lubed, all screws and bolts tensioned properly. Well happy.
Just got to get the drivers side done properly now, currently has the donor car's blue seat, with cover on. Need to refurb properly and swap over the bases.
Also have to get donor car back together, poor things in bits and pieces and only on three wheels...
Here is the speaker install up front, used the glove box and the kick panel above the throttle pedal. New ones are just two deep to fit into the kick panels:

Here is the boot, partially recarpeted - more to stick on to provide better noise insulation. Pretty happy with the wheel well cover too, but it rattles over bumps, so need to add something to stop that:

Here is under the rear seat, more carpet (insulation) - I have a rule that if something comes out dirty or in need of fixing, it goes back clean and fixed:

Finally, the rain:

Bye to all, thanks for all the great feedback
Chris
