Just returned from having picked up a small motorhome- GMC with conversion by Foster and Day last week- call me sad - but in fact much fun can be had with one of these things

Managed to get it all cleaned up for weekend and took my boys off to the beach near Jeremy Clarkson's house at Langness on Isle of Man

Boy did it lash with rain- but we survived and had great fun

being 21 feet long means that it is not too expensive on ferry

it has all mod cons- it is only that we haven't worked out how to make it all work as yet!

It has the 6.2 diesel Chevy motor which makes for a great tow vehicle

should manage to tow almost anything!

As long as you don't become like the usual motorhome driver trying to creep our roads as slow as possible... you may be shot by BMW drivers

Ah yeah those. Driving around with their 120 BHP TDi like it has close to 570 horses, no attention to or insight in traffic, glued to your rear bumper etc
