e21 320i switch below steering wheel?

Hello everyone,
I recently inherited my grandmother's e21 320i and couldn't be any happier with her taste in automobiles! The car is amazing and fully functional, however, I can't make sense of one switch below the steering wheel. The switch gives you eight different settings (A, B, C, D, E, F, SK, R) and can be pushed in and out. My first assumption was that it might alter the headlight angle in case of rear load, etc. but it seemingly does nothing.

If anyone knows what's up, give me a shout. Much appreciated
