Re: BMW E21 327i (second racetrack video)
now the new brake setup is already vintage as it was sitting on the shelves 2 years
I burned them good
brake pad thickness, great success
mini cooper S R53 brake discs vs. 323 e21 discs
1mm clearance to the caliper If someone is
much better, now I think the brakes are what I need them to be
about the upgrade, I found it on the interwebs...only difference I did was that I put in the bolts for the calipers and tightened the calipers to the bolts with nuts (not vice versa as the tutorial said)...easier my way

Re: BMW E21 327i (second racetrack video)
the car is still unchanged and running BUT
I have a problem, the rear suspension is too soft, what to do? H&R springs and B6 bilstein are on the rear axle but when I'm shifting hard the car moves too much on the rear. I already broke 3 axle joints...
which springs are harder than the H&R? any other idea how to stiffen the rear? everything is on poly bushes and I have the 323 stabilisator.

Not sure if these two are related, but on the other hand H&R's aren't too extreme... still road springs so you can go stiffer with custom springs, but I'm not sure tgat will solve your issue. May be your shifting?

Re: BMW E21 327i (second racetrack video)
day 1 :
at least 150km of rain...E21 on the wet surface is the same as having the parkinsons and making bombs...not healthy. For the Obersee pass I got a dry road so I could threaten some motorcycle racers on the way up. But...if you are going there, you have to admire the nature part also...
day 2, tomorrow !

What an amazing area to visit, we've been there several times as well and you never get bored with the combination of roads and scenery! Keep us posted, even though some places (many?) look very familiar!

Re: BMW E21 327i (second racetrack video)
Jeroen, I have to join your trip sometime from my side of the hills
day 2 (after yesterdays 600km, it was time to move the legs). Right across our hotel was the Ratsching ski lift...so I didnt have to drive nor walk up the mountain (strange).
Ofcourse right after the breakfast and lunch, I had 10 km to the Jaufen Pass - Passo di monte Giovo (2094m), so I was driving that road 2x per day (from both sides), and the lady was in the spa that time...
last day I had a speedrun from the other side so people were literary standing on the tables on the pass and were looking what was tearing up the road
the daily cow portion (I'm from a city - if that isn't obvious)
day 3, as soon as I find the time to sort the photos...

Re: BMW E21 327i (second racetrack video)
day 3 :
planned route
Sunny morning on the near Jaufen Pass
don't think of missing the curve, it's kinda deadly
So we went to see the famous church in the Lago Resia...well, it was dry because they are fixing something So I checked the webcam on Stelvio (overloaded parking) and I also seen a lot of campers and tourists on the way there so I decided not to drive 20 km/h up the Stelvio and visit it next time.
On the way back to the hotel I seen on the classic A0 not digital map a place called Val Senales (again over 2000m), road clear, tank full...race mode on
As it is in my tradition, race on the hill and sightseeing down the hill
and another for the animal planet, found some dry bread in the car...perfect for the lamas
