just to let you guys know that we will be at Donington 15-16 Sept

racing Butch- my Camaro

Thing is the classic grids are thin as:
a everyone is at Goodwood- I have 2 chums racing
b the rest are saving their cars for Spa next weekend

Various commitments have meant not much racing in UK for us this year and in order to do Spa next year we have to run out twice

So as a consequence of the above we have been pitched in with "Deutcsh Marque" racing a whole lot of E36 M3s and Porsche 944s!
No E21s as far as I can see- divided loyalties here I am sure. Warm welcome to anyone coming to watch= we will be bringing the classic camper- I am on ferry with it as I write.
there is a bbq Saturday night at paddock

lots of excitements see above for latest

found a lovely E21 racecar with 800 kgs and an E30 325 motor looking like Duracell belonging to Matt- a chum of Duracell (told me why D has this name!)- he disappeared after his race not ours before I got a photo

and a 2002 which was in the slower Grp1 Swinging 60s race- so I saw it in practice but not the race (he was 1.40 we were 1.23)
have a photo of this - later.
Dear J
I will send you a stick with the in car footage- the over enthusiastic Elan that crashed into me first corner and all the overtaking having copped a stop-go penalty !!!

So you won the 1st race but 2nd race wasn't too good? 40 kph is slow, usually I see 60 kph in pitlanes I believe. And reading the story about the races over there, yup, you might want to do some racing over here, at least to see if it's any better. However, the big events like Le Mans Classic see different levels of driving skills as well: owners of cars driving sessions themselves usually not too fast, then handing over the wheel to hired experienced drivers and all of a sudden the car starts to move towards the front of the field  but ok it's a bout fun too.

No prob to send me the stick and I'll make something of it haha. I'm off to the Spa Six Hours this weekend btw, but with a camera instead of a helmet

Anyway, congrats on the class win!

Hi TopCat,

Matt is a nice genuine guy who really can peddle that E21 well.
Also know mr Weyman in the IROC-Z from your race and other competitors mostly from the CTCRC events.

It was a shame to see the damage to Baby Bertha and Joss's Bullet :(

An old pic of Matt and his E21, he's now got perspex windows and fibreglass panels.
