will a GETRAG 260 fit in a 82 323i baur cab.

HI
As the topic says. I have a 82
323i baur cab with dead org engine, and have got a 88mod
325 pre.face engine with a getrag 260 gearbox (with the sensors) Does any body her know if this will fit in the car?

Yes but you need to mod the gearbox mount, ,shift platform, driveshaft and rig up speed sense device on trailing arm or similar to send to speedo and modify that also from E30 as E21 are cable drive. 260 is quite a big box so may need to check trans tunnel clearance as well.

Ok, thanks. Does there exist some kind of "kit" to convert the gearbox to wire to the speedometer?

Well... i have disided to change the gear box, to the stock type.
but then i need the electrical for a 325i facelift engine. is there anybody in her that may have that in the garage? i need every thing, ECU and all the wireing. if you du, please let me know.
