Decoding VIN

Is there any way to decode an E21 VIN to find out what equipment it had from the factory? The decoder for newer BMW's doesn't seem to work on the older cars. The VIN: 3760921.
Thanks,
Dennis

1975 320i, correct? Rare car, but I'm quite sure there's not much info available, especially on equipment. Either BMW didn't keep records or they were never digitised, I believe you can only get that info from cars from the early eighties on.

Yup, Inka Rot with a K-Jet M10. Debating wether or not I should rescue it and I wonder if it's LSD equipped.

Well it is not likely to have a LSD but you can always check, driving or with the rear jacked up. Use the search function here, there are a few threads on how to tell whether your diff is a limited slip or not.
Worth saving, well depends on its condition but a K-Jet 320i M10 probably is the most rare E21. Only very few around.

It's decent except for a rusty front wing actually. The owner mentioned something about the diff but had no further info. I know how to check for an LSD but the car is quite far away at the moment. I guess I'll just go buy it then check the diff. Is €400 a reasonable price for a running car that's been sitting for a few years?

Car is in there, and in most other software, but it doesn't tell you what options were ticked when it was ordered.
