Hi guys. Iv posted on here before and recieved a great response. Im looking for a e21 but cant manage to find one in my budget. Looking to spend up to £1000 for a running e21. I know its not an ideal budget but im sure people can relate. Theres one up my road selling for cheapish. Engin runs. But its been sitting for 8 years. My hearts set on it but feels a little risky. Im not looking for a minter as alot of workwill be done.

Not sure whether to settle for the running but not used e21 or to carry on my search. I just missed out on a very decent e21 on ebay today. Went for £860. In very good condition for the price :(

I know this may sound checky but if someone could be an experienced judge for this e21 up the road that would be great.

Looking forward to suggestions and offeres if there are any.

Thanks guys

I live northwest london. To be exact harrow. Your time would be greatly appreciated. For some strange reason i have my heart set on the one up the road. I mean i restored a 1972 mini in worse condition but this time im taking the right route instead of diving in head first and it costing me rediculous money. Thanks for the response nas.

no worries. if you spot one in yorkshire I don't mind going to look.

as long as your willing to get your hands dirty now n then you won't get into too much difficulty. just check under / around windscreen, rear arch where it meets sills, strut tops, and the top of the inner rear arch and in and around the boot. for each part to be fixed its 2 hours labour at least. take old clothes and get your head underneath check fuel tanks .

if the car doesnt run then don't worry its 90% probably something to do with the carb.

also I always say this - there is no such thing as a minter. for a 1k budget prepare to see rough.

there's a nice looking 316 in the forsale section.. for a bit more cash you can save yourself time and effort and money in the long run..
