Square headlights

Just watched the video of the E21 streetracer on "Inspector Rex" in the E21 video section.

Fashions come & go but I know square headlights were (& probably still are) considered the height of bad taste (at least in the UK) but they looked kinda ok in the blurry video.

Anybody brave enough to admit to having a clearer picture and/or some knowledge about them? I believe they were a Hella kit?

They were a cheap kit made using 4 Hella fog lights as head lights and were designed by Stevie Wonder. Look great with mud flaps!

Hahahahaha Mark, +1 !!!!!!

I have seen two different styles of masks with square headlights.
The one was awful, the other one was not too bad, but in any way, I consider the E21 a very elegantly designed car and I believe it is losing a lot of its elegance and finesse with any serious style transformation, including my Angel eyes, even though they are round !!
However, this is a matter of personal taste...

EDIT : + my alloys, I KNOW !!!!

Not sure if they are fog lights. The French were quite keen on squares - there were some Renaults that had them.

The Hella kits are - or at least the ones that Tommy used to have on here.

Each to their own though. No matter what people do to their cars, it's their choice and any e21 is cool.
