Hi everyone,
I have been looking for some leather E21 seats for a while but as im sure you know they are rare. My seats are falling apart and rather than getting them retrimmed I wanted to know if any other BMW model has seats that will fit an E21. If anyone has any leather e21 seats for sale please let me know, or where I can look.

They come up occasionally but you might find a retrim is cheaper / easier.

Ill look into how much it will coat to have the seats retrimmed, it will mean changing them from cloth to leather though and having the cushions rebuilt, ill have to see how much it will cost.

Are you seriously trying to find some e21 factory fitted leather seats that are in good condition after 30 years??

I have never seen any for sale in three years, so I think you will be looking for a long long time.

my interior cost 1200 inc re-building of foam in my seats new carpets with leather piping and overmats - if you want a basic vinyl on just your seats with no carpet then your probably looking about £400 - £500



You could fit any seat from any other car (probably) but it means doing some modifications.

I know, I didn't expect to find any but there are alot of leather seats about from e30's e28's etc so might be worth trying, or ill get mine covered. Great interior though mate. I think it was a brown leather and cord interior I saw of yours that got me looking for a new interior. Ill see whats the best option. Cheers mate. All the best

yeah that interior was pretty awesome actually, but the bed springs meant that i was constantly bouncing up n down when i drove my car cos of my slammed suspension haha.

is it the cushions which have gone in yours? or has the seat worn through? you could take the seat apart and replace the foam, the cover is held on with tabs all around the base. if you took your time you could easily sort this for dirt cheap.

but if you want leather then your going to have to ask how much you love your e21.

it was hard work picking colours fabrics and etc. in the end I went with something classy rather than "in your face" .

sg interiors in Leeds did it. he's a real nice guy and half the price of everyone else. his work is awesome its been a year now and not a single thread out of place. the seats are still comfy and nice. this reminds me that my runners need greasing I forgot to do that!

yea last night I spotted a nice cloth interior on ebay in cream last night . defo worth a punt .

Those ebay seats are the same colour as mine. Tempting, however I've got a pair of Recaros to recover. Leather is pricey so I was thinking of Alcantara centres with leather bolsters & leatherette for the seat backs.

Still have those cream leather recaros available. I now have Nas's symphony in beige cord interior you were referring to.

Those cloth ones posted on ebay look to be in good nick too.

Yeah the interiors look great. Ill have a think but to be honest I think ill have to buy a new interior or one in decent nick. I could repair mine I guess but I do like some leather.
Reck your interior is awesome if you ever sell it let me know.

I believe all 4x4 Cossies were 4 door so they won't have the tip forward function.
