Threat to Historic Vehicles

Thought that this should be circulated on your Forum Jeroen as E21s are verging on being treated as Historic:
At the meeting of the Federation of Manx Historic Vehicle Clubs on Monday this week, there was extensive discussion on proposals being made by Government for 'additional roadworthiness tests on vehicles.'
Details of these proposals, together with a brief on line questionnaire style response form are available at http://www.gov.im/ConsultationDetail.gov?id=352
The questionnaire is very brief and misses many of the points made in the consultative document. You are advised to read the document to assess likely impact on most of the vehicles in our Clubs.
The Federation will be responding directly to the consultation and opposing the proposals. The meeting felt that the arguments presented in the document were very weak or fundamentally flawed.
It is hoped that you will circulate this information within your Club, and as many responses as possible from individuals will be made before the closing date of 1st February.
