Thanks for the interest in my CSL , i have owned this for around 5 years and spent most of this time under slow restoration

, but now ready for use!! and it will be used

,not into show cars that don't get any use,
the car still has all of its original aluminium panels and is build number 343 of 500 r/h/d cars (look at the number plate

you can see the build number 343 on it!!)
200 BHP ,limited slip diff with bilstien dampers and progresive springs all round from the factory!! must have been a very quick piece of kit in the 70's and very exspensive (we are talking house prices back then.).
The interior is half leather, which replaced the viynle...
Hoping to strip and rebuild the engine this winter, due to blue smoke under hard acceleration and hoping to lighten and balance the bottom end at the same time.
Thanks for looking, i must admit ,i still love the E21 and i drive it much more ,as i use it as my everyday car, just love old bemmers!! my wife thinks i need theropy

Words cannot describe how gorgeous it is

The colour, the lines of the body, lovely.
Don't let your wife talk you into therapy, or worse, into selling it

amazing.. how does it compares to the 323i in handling, acceleration, etc?

CSL is quicker than my 323i, but doe's not handle as good (yet!!), but i have spent a lot of money on my E21 suspension in the last couple of months, and still want to get more power out of the E21

......
i'am supprised how many people ask me what the CSL is ,and say they have never seen one before

Hi, Beautyfull car man, a cousen had one like it in blue needed restoration like the doors were rusting, the front valance needed changing, so when he found out the prices, he gave up and gave it to me, but then it was like no space to keep the car and i had my E21 at the time going thru a slow restoration period, and then decided to sell the CSL got £900 for it and halfed the squid with my cousin, again..nice car, You know women just never understand men,if we like old cars they just say "so whats the banger gonna get next init?, new springs", nothing but abuse, . i got that alot when i bought me wife a toyota RAV 4 for the kids schooling and all... women only know that new cars are good.... i think ill divorce the wife and drive away in my car with my suit case in the boot the next i hear anything...
regards
jimi

F**KING UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

. That is a beautiful car, and so rare! These e9s get affected with rust alot (70s steel blend apparently), but this one is immaculate. Hang onto it
Love the colour, love the wheels, and its pillarless too!
How fast does it actually go?

I think this car pretty much represents what we all strive for when we restore a classic BMW.
Stunning looks, sensible modifications and quality of workmanship that seem second to none.
I cannot remember when I saw such a good BMW restoration. Interesting to see what it was like before the restoration started!
A beautiful car. And definately an honourary E21...
