battery light dimly lit charging at 13.6 on the multi meter

My old Baur used to have a battery light that glowed slightly. I think MIB did too? If battery isn't going flat you've nothing to worry about.

Mines been glowing for a year now no problems

I used to have a problem like that, something like 10+ years ago, and I remember that my mechanic had cured it but I don't remember how, now... I know that this is not very helpful, but my current prob is battery going flat without this little annoying dimmed light on!

Change your battery at same time. Some of them are 20+ years old so past their best. Check your fan belt isn't slipping too!

An e28 alternator can be a good upgrade as they put out a bit more power.
