Difference between Bilstein B6's and B4's?

Hi guys,
As I'm in the process of restoring my Two tone 323i, I've bought the genuine motorsport springs from Bmw and am now in search of tthe original shocks that would have come standard on this "S" Edition back in '82. Did they come with Bilstein sports shocks aka B6 or the B4 standard shock absorbers?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as always.
Kind regards
Vic

Anyone ban this guy?
Bilstein B4 is more or less oem spec replacement, B6 is a real step up. In performance, and in pricing. If you're into some spirited driving, and especially combined with the Motorsport springs, the B6's will improve handling by quite a bit without drastic measures like lowering the car more. Motorsport springs only lower abt 20mm I believe and that will be enough. For a comfy ride and for burning some rubber on a good day
Clear to see what my preference is. If you'de have your car on 13's and stock springs, B4 would be more than enough.

Sorry to Hijack but how much were the Springs from BMW? I'm also starting into a 2 tone S-type but the original suspension is missing so I'd like to take it back to original spec.

So the springs are discontinued? Apparently, so are the shocks as well.

No, enough options left what I see, or does your browser alter pages?
Motorsport springs defo improve handling, are still available for front and rear, and they don't lower too much...

Possibly, I just dont understand it.
Anyway, I'm after a set up for my 82 323i S Type but I want to stay close to the OEM set up, so I'm lost as to what I should be looking for.
