Chev/GMC Camper has a narrow escape

Whilst I was covering myself in P20 factor 20 suntan lotion to combat Cape Town Rays- we nearly had a disaster with the GMC/Chev in Scotland

Over the winter we had left it safely (?) ensconced in scottish Dutch Barn (as it was too tall to fit into proper Green Shed thing)

Well whilst away I was told by my shooting chums that the barn was leaning over after a major storm and was on the point of collapse and they had dragged the Camper out (being snow everywhere this was a simple matter) to rescue it from certain squished death!!!

Later on the guys moved the Camper to the back of the house out of danger!

Well done and thanks to Robert and all those involved in rescue!!

Narrow escape indeed. And now you fitted a few ropes and put the shed back in its original shape? 8)

We should shouldn't we?

thinking about tearing the front bit down

we are presently doing up another Bothy nearby- so no funds to replace the red shed (yet!)!

looks like a scene from the wild west doesn't it- good for a photo shoot!

mind you it all looks rather bleak at this time of year

in summer the place looks a bit better!

In fact the Highlands has been a magnet for Dutch people for many years! The holiday cottage in the earlier picture is available for weekly fortnightly lets- we have a Dutch family that have been coming for many years (he used to be a Dutch Rugby star- and plays the cello!) - that should narrow down the options! see www.strathnoon.co.uk
with a 10% reduction for E21 owners

Current project is the complete rebuild of the Bothy - 10 new windows and 9 inches of insulation followed by a white stain boarding- you can just see the red shed in background- we hope to finish Bothy this summer- only jusrt caught it before it too fell down as it was not going to last this last winter without a rescue!

I know, my aunt lives near Killin and has been living in the highlands for decades already... and I never got round to visiting her... she always comes to visit us and she'll be a visitor of Holland for the rest of her life. She feels so at home over there.

Hi Nas
Well scotland is just like West Yorkshire only a bit colder- presumably you live in James Herriott country?
