Brake linkage delete

I've removed the OE servo and brake linkage but am having issues upgrading to e30 pedal box without extensive reworking to bulkhead. Whatever happens I won't be going back to the original set-up but it would be helpful to hear what other people have done?
The obvious solution is to use a bulkhead mounted master cylinder and remote servo. There is only one dual circuit remote servo I can find though.
The alternative is a dual cylinder set-up and no servo, which would be OK so long as there's room for the cylinders.
Anyway, can those of you who have also done away with the OE servo etc, please post details and/or suggestions here?
Thanks in advance.

Tbh that e30 brake linkage i am not convinced about. its still the same amount of crap your taking out but just goes in a different way?
you basically need something like this
http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/product/dual-remote-servo/ wack that in the boot / under the dash?
you just get a single master and then you use that to feed the device above along with a vacuum supply and your laughing.
im going to be running no servo with a custom mounted brake bias box but that in itself is a challenge im really not looking forwards to.

Hydralic wise an e28 booster of the pas system. looks doable of the existing brake setup I think Danny's e21 had this.
Lose the booster all together, you need to use a larger master maybe of an e30 and mod the brake pedal pivot at least 6:1 ratio the master would fit the same was as a clutch.
I would use a e36 pedal box over a e30 as the servo is behind the pedal but again a lot of bulkhead work.
Or copy NAS

Yeah Nas, SVC are going to send one of their dual circuit servo next week. So am I right in thinking I just need to bolt a single servo to the bulkhead ahead of the pedal?
I've been looking at the e36 pedal box too, but I just want the simplest solution for now.

They are designed to go between the existing master cylinder and the brake, so you shoudl relocate the existing master to the end of the pedal box.

Sorry I meant cylinder, not servo.
So (just to be clear) another clutch master bolted to bulkhead (ahead of brake pedal) should be enough combined with dual servo?

e36 servo is HUGE.
I drew a picture in my head and it seemed to work.
You need a dual port master cylinder that is off a car that is unassisted like an old mk1 / 2 vw polo. There will be TWO lines from this master going to your SVC dual master. one rear line and one front (and of course a bigger 10mm pipe from your inlet for the vacuum)
You plumb the front in on the (correct side) of the SVC dual master then from the front outlet of the dual SVC you stick a T piece in and then send that to the front calipers. You only need a single line to the rears because there is already a T piece behind the tanks.
Beauty with this stuff is you dont need a new brake switch and i think you could fit that SVC stuff in the boot very nicely and it would work a treat. when you cut the linkage off your standard bracket you will find that you can fit the master in no problem as there is already a hole there you just need to drill the 2 holes for the bolts that clamp the new master on
Id suggest bench bleeding the 3x masters before you fit them. I think there will be some swearing when your trying to bleed the brakes.
you know theres a whole heap of calculations you need to do to work out your brake system before sticking your hand in your pocket Mark. You cant simply bolt stuff together and think it will work properly. Id hazard a guess as thats why people will want to stick stock stuff in, saves getting the abacus and cloth tape out.

Putting them in the boot would mean a longer vac hose, I wonder if it would fit in place of the existing servo

you can get electric vacuum pumps

I knew I should have bought a LHD e21.

I was trying to find a picture of our vacuum canister (on Butch) if you have a really hot cam we find no boost at idle- car is very tricky in the paddock on cold racing pads and no boost- so we came up with the vacuum canister that stores up vacuum ( like an accumulator does oil) under pressure until needed
Agree over the LHD set-up! Barney Halse is quoted as saying that the RHD CSLs NEVER brake as well as the original LHDs - whatever you do to them!!

I seriously would have bought LHD if I'd thought about it more.

i was wondering what is the exact problem with the original idea of fitting e30 brake system in?

The linkage hits the heater box / matrix. We were going to try an e30 heater but it still needs chopping around, not to mention the steering column.

yeah the remote setup sounds easier.
