THat is most likely indeed. What I know at least the softtop cover is E30. They started building these in 1987 when the E30 convertible was already there so I guess they borrowed a few E30 parts.

Perhaps they went through some more effort to get car fortified on the inside? I also have the Lumma brochure on the page on convertibles:

Owner Jan is a member here under userid
Gator and I believe he's done the entire restore himself, perhaps drop him a line? Perhaps he can add photos of the restore to this topic as well!

Hi,
rather coincidential I found this forum and pretty soon then also this thread.
I've seen this car in real at that meeting and would like to know a bit more about it.
Because I own a kind of the same car and it would be great to exchange some details for specific problem solutions.
Mine is not a Lumma nor is it a Peters.
I prefered to build it my own (already 17 years ago if I remember that right) and therefor there are for sure some differences in the details, even if the roof parts are quite the same, as they are borrowed from the e30 series.
Pics will come in a seperate thread (don't wanna disturb this one).
cheers
Ingo

Ingo,
For general info we have our page on convertibles (btw now also includes some info on the Lumma pickup conversions and I have more info on the Lumma pick ups on request).
The page is located here:
http://www.bmwe21.net/?page_id=144
If you'd like to contact the owner of this particular car, his contact details are a few posts up in this thread.
