Was talking to Arshad for the first time in a year or so today, sadly I had a baby to feed so we got cut short.

It struck me that I am always busy in the daytime, and if I can get out and about I tend to have Kids with me, thus I have neglected my fellow Northern monkeys for some time.

But evenings are different.

Would anyone be up for a drive to a suitable location, have food, admire our cars in the car park then drive again? I say curry because I happen to like it.

I have the Hale Barns Tandoori near me, the car park at the back is quite big as it served the whole shopping centre until it was derelict/run down and now partially demolished. There's a big pointless speed ramp in the approach road that might be an obstacle if your sump is daft, but otherwise it's fine. We have plenty of good driving terrain round here. The Tandoori will shut when they get round to demolishing the bulding it is in but we have a month or so.

I was also thinking of jinnah on the A64 near York so Nas wouldn't feel left out, again drive, car park etc.

What do you think? Any better suggestions??

Hey Jim, nice talking to you today - multitasking as always! Anyway, the Tandoori idea sounds good. Any food does after fasting! I'd prefer Hale barns but will go with the majority. Would a Saturday work for everyone?

Don't suggest this saturday as I am on call! Could do Friday night. Maybe we just meet for a meal and see if anyone else turns up???

I'll be more than happy to attend. I don't mind drivin up because there's a lot more of you guys up that way.

. That jinnah place I've been past tons of times but never been inside. They say the food is great. It seems a bit of a trip for you manx guys though?

Rough as anything, we have a derelict ghetto style partially demolished shopping centre and everything!

Need to work out my schedule and try to find a free day, will post a possible date over the weekend.

How's about next Friday 30th or Saturday 31st?? Friday might be better for me as Sarah has something on Saturday afternoon/teatime.

I'll have to check the curry house is still going, they are demolishing the buildings around it, or rather the building it's in just leaving a few bricks either side which is making me quite cross. Good to show support for them, they are being forced out of business and the developers are effectively refusing to pay any compensation.

I'm at a show that weekend. I'll be leaving on Friday night..

OK let's try for 6th. I was there for takeaway last night and they said they close in 2 weeks. Demolition continues to go on, but they seemed certain.

It will probably get busy as people rush to have one last curry there (been going 20 years) so I'll book a table. I need to know who's in!

Ok so the fact the place is getting torn down doesn't mean that the food was rubbish. Lol and as you been a long term customer and your still alive is also good news.
