Comedy Stealership pricing!

I popped into the local stealers to price up some rear subframe mounts, #6 in this pic:
So the guys hits up the computer and the prices come in for the hard versions at £42 for one side, and £41 and a bit for the other side. Ok, not cheap, but not too horrific, so he then looks up the availability, which is showing none in stock anywhere in the UK, and further investigating reveals none showing in Germany either, but they can still order them, but due to the lack of availability, the price has now nearly quadrupled to £165 each!!!!!!!!!!
WTF!
I really cannot understand this policy, and if I can find the bushes anywhere else I will, but as yet I haven't. Any ideas???

Please don't buy them at W&N because you probably get bad quality. I bought mine last month at the dealer for 100 euro's total. Arrived after one week.
No problem at all to order them so i don't understand why it should be in the UK.
Maybe try another BMW dealer?

Don't ever get any rubber stuff like this at Walloth Nesch, and that includes flex discs as well! What they are selling is plain cheap crap and you'll end up having to do the work again within days. Either use polyurethane stuff or have the dealer check again. I know BMW has raised many parts prices to rediculous levels over the past few years, but this info is not correct. If you order on line through the BMW Classic website as linked from our 'where to get parts' topic, you'll end up paying 50 euros each for either the soft regular part of the tougher motorsport part.

Maybe get some advice from Jason or Nas and make your own poly version?
If you want I can ask the classic section of BMW and use my club discount?

Mark, if you could check the classic section that would be fantastic, thanks!
I really want to retain the rubber, rather than go poly, as this is my daily driver and the roads around here are crap, but the harder compound versions would be my bushes of choice. Trying to upgrade the handling, without compromising on ride and harshness.

Schmiedmann sell them too I think. What I did with my bushes was buy some 70shore poly and then fill them. the ride quality is slightly compromised but meh, what you gonna do rather that then a back end flopping about.

I must be getting old or something, but I'm done with poly bushed, slammed, coilovered, stretch-tyred, rose-jointed daily drivers. The point of this car is I can bear to drive it with a head ache or 200 miles straight, without feeling like I've just had kidney surgury! To that end I want it tight like a new car, but with compliance when it hits pot holes, of which there are many here!
Whatever Mark can find will be gratefully received.

BMW stock standard or hard but I can't better £165 each I'm afraid. You could try e21 Legion (or ask Neek on here) and see if there's a cheaper alternative in the USA? Sorry the news isn't better.

Availability isn't the problem. It's the price!

Wow, That is a truly ridiculous situation.
Thanks alot Mark, it's a shame the news isn't better. I might adapt E30 ones or something, even at £42 they're expensive for what they are.
