Bonnet adjustment

Hi all
My bonnet needs adjustment as when closed the gap at the front is too large.
There doesn't seem to be an easy way to adjust this. There is currently a 20mm gap above the front grille and think this should be closer to 10mm.
Can anyone advise on how to adjust please?
Thanks
Mark

put the bonnet down but don't close,
loosen the front most bolts holding the tilter bar to the slam panel and slightly loosen the rear most bolts. get a mate to push down on the bonnet and tighten all the bolts.
then you may find that the bonnet catch maybe too high - take off the passenger side grill - shut the bonnet, undo the catch bolts and get a mate to push down on the bonnet, tighten up the catch.
Keep arsing around for the next three hours,

Ok so I have this sorted.
The bonnet catch is located on the right hand side as you look at the front of the car (passenger or near side in UK and Australia)
Pop the bonnet to give you better access to grille screws.
There are 5 Philips head screws securing the grille piece. Undo these. You also need to remove the indicator lens and the indicator assembly (which is withdrawn from the grille by rotating it)
Remove the grille.
You'll see the bonnet catch behind where the grille was. It is secured by x2 10mm hex bolts. Loosen these but do not remove them. The catch can then be adjusted up or down to suit your requirements.
Before you re fit the grill, check that the bonnet still closes. Remember to re pop the bonnet catch.
There are x2 rubber stoppers at the corners on the bonnet which can be screwed or unscrewed to allow a snug fit.
Re fit the grill and you're done.
Note: when refitting the indicator lens, tighten up only until it nips. Over tightening will crack the lens.
Tools needed: 10mm socket and extension, Phillips (crosshead) screwdriver, a little patience.
Now go fix the bonnet adjustment
