Hi. Can I ask, is getting caught speeding in the Netherlands expensive always ? I just got a letter from the "Centraal Justitieel Incassobureau" wanting to relieve me of 161 euros! If I understand it correctly I was doing 71kph in a 50 zone. At least there no points involved !

No points involved indeed but yes, those are the fines here. Our public sector is way out of control so they need every cent from us to try and close the gaps. Much easier than trying to get a grip on your expenses I guess.

Sorry for that mate, just know that the fines are even dearer in Zwitzerland, Belgium and Italy.
