I have received several complaints about notification e-mails not being sent out, for example for topic updates, PM's or for resetting your password. I already tried a lot, but I haven't found what causes this.

The notification problem combined with recent Russian spam attacks made me decide to run an update on the forum. I will do that on Tuesday evening, European time. Since I know that these forum updates usually don't work out well, be prepared to find the forum offline for some time. I apologise in advance, wish I could prevent that from happening but it happens all too often. Just hope we'll be back online asap!

Even though phpbb tells me the update went well, the main forum page is not working yet. However, you can access the two main forums directly and navigate from there. At least that's something for the time being:

And a Q to all, I received many reports of members not receiving notifications anymore (for PM, topic update, etc). Are there any people that still got board notifications the past few weeks?

Trying to establish if the forum email function completely fails or that there may be other issues...

Forum is back to normal again. Still would like to know who has been receiving update/PM notifications the past 2-3 weeks, that will be a great help to improve the forum!

I've not received any notifications by email for a while (not had any PM's though), I may have the option switched off in my profile though?

Have you sent site availability update's etc?

Haven't sent any updates recently. Checked your profile settings and your e-mail notifications are switched on. So if you subscribed to topics or received PM's, you should have received email notifications. I get the idea the email function doesn't work at all anymore.

PM sent. I'm just trying to establish if the email function doesn't work for a part of the users, or not at all. That is pretty important for troubleshooting this issue.
