Preview: Newbie 1982 320 auto
Hi guys n gals I've just joined the forum although I'm a bmw nut from creation I own a 1994 m5 328i cab e36 and an e60 530d but when I was 20 I purchased my first bmw 320 manual ATM 60X I called her the ATOMBOX but sum drongo hit me in the rear and she was wrote off in after raising my children in e21s and eventually e34s I purchased the e21 320 auto I have now in 1998 she ran for a few years before the head let go, being curious with spanners lol and a bit of knowledge new head fitted back in action . Then came lack of time lack of funds four flat tyres seized brakes few dreams wash off moss free brakes then I find a set of oz alpina 15" reps for sale, purchased I'm back big big smile on my face now I need some help if possible . I really would like to have discs all round !!!! Can anyone tell me what I need , Shes a solid old girl and 32 this year so I'd like to have 5-6 months on her then put her back on the road ,like to make her manual but funds might prevent me thanks for reading thanks in advance for any help regards nick

Ideally you want the rear trailing arms & brakes from a 323i, although breakers are getting harder to find. I think you may be able to modify your original trailing arms and convert to discs though?

good luck with the restoration. Hopefully you can find your rear brakes! There's a 323i at my local wreckers at the moment, pity I'm too far away, shipping on a set of trailing arms would be a killer!

For my track car I made some adaptors from steel plate to fit the holes on the existing arm, 323i rear discs plus VW Golf Mk3 calipers which have an integral handbrake. Only issue is that the bleed nipples are pointing downwards but nothing I can do about it, seem to bleed OK though!
