M30 mounts

I read on another forum m10 mounts can be used to bolt in an m30. Can anyone confirm this? I'm always reluctant to believe without proof!

Might be plausible on an early M30 (2.8, 3.2 or 3.4) where the mounting bosses are further back on the block, but I can't see it working with an M30B35 as the mounting bosses are right at the front of the block.

Do they mean the mounting arms (metal) or the rubber engine mounts.
rubber mounts might be possible, metal arms no

I have a spare brand new set of E28 535i engine mounts which are meant to work great with the M30- bought off Fritz Bitz whom I believe is now defunct
We decided to stick with the E34 535i engine mounts because of clearance issues which uniquely affect Herman.

You can find out on Sunday, I've got an M30 sitting next to an M10 out of the cars. I seriously doubt it though.
