Hi all

for you guys out there who don't know me I'm misky, I have been around this forum now for quite a few years and LOVE e21's. I have built several e21's in the last 7 years, from a subtle restoration of my gold 316 pictured here.
Image

to my not so subtle 4.0 m60 V8 powered e21 which is nearing completion.
Image

my dream car has always been a group 5 320i turbo. this is the car i've grown up with having its pictures on my bedroom wall. not hard to see why when you look at it.

Image

Now what i'm asking from you guys is for any information / pictures either internal / external ,suspension related anything.

I AM BUILDING A REPLICA OF THIS CAR. THIS IS NOT A BULLSHIT IM THINKING ABOUT...BLAH BLAH. THIS IS HAPPENING!!

whatever you guys can help me with regarding information/ parts sourcing I would appreciate so much! your input on opinions for ideas and paint job etc would be massively appreciated. the panels are on their way to me so I do not need to source the kit.

if you've got interior shots or photos of underneath POST THEM UP GUYS!!

obviously I am not a millionaire so I will not be buying an m12 engine

my engine of choice will be the M10 with a turbo

specs I will be going to will be
m10 2.0l
low compression 8.5.1 forged pistons and rods
twin scrolled tubular manifold
custom hi flow inlet manifold
Obviously standalone efi management
undecided on turbo yet open to opinions
shrick cam
billet rockers blah blah.

my target power figure will be 400 plus

so now you know my plans hit me with what you got!

If it was anyone else I wouldn't have much faith in them seeing this build through to the end. Having seen your other builds though, I can't wait to see this hit the road. :thumbsup I'll have a look through and see if there's any more info/pics on that other car that was for sale. The other alternative might be to ask Munich Legends to help out with a bunch of pics, of the Grp5 car in their showrooms?

I've been jumping around the Marc Surer car with my camera, which is the most original example and in the hands of BMW Classic. Took a lot of pics even with the hood and trunklid off. Add the other two well known cars I've photographed in the paddock a couple of times and we already have a good start:

Junior Team - Marc Surer
Junior Team - Eddie Cheever
Jägermeister - H.J. Stück

Add several detailed articles on the McLaren turbo car on the web... that car is different but all bits 'n pieces help I guess

WOW great start! Jeroen you are a lucky man! those e21's are soooo fast in the corners!!
please can we compile all the photo's on this thread?
Mark I will drop munich legends an email and see if I can go take some shots of the car. where about are they based? London i'm guessing?

found in my archives a picture of some GR5 front suspension and steering assemblies. doesn't look too hard to fabricate!

Mark i'm going to Gatwick on Saturday so I've emailed Munich Legends to see if they would mind if I went down and took some photos. just waiting to hear back from them.

I would hope they would say yes. Another person to speak with is Alex Elliott of Roundel Racing. He's the guy Munich Legends used to fire up their car. Very knowledgable guy, but severely lacking in interpersonal skills.

I've shared the vids to you on FB, although I'm sure you've seen them.

Hmmm not all professional work haha!

Well Charles Veillard emailed me that the Eddie Cheever car is almost ready for another season of classic racing. Looking forward to seeing him and his car in action again!
