I'm planning to megasquirt my M20 engine (now carburetted), and therefore i bougt a M20 motronic engine.

One part on this engine puzzles me, i can't find any information about it, and it was only connected with the wiring loom:

Can't find a nozzle on the throttle body or manifold to connect one of the hoses.
Is is a air valve?

another thing i don't understand is why the engine breather inlet on the throttle body is heated/connected with the cooling system.

That looks like the valve for the carbon canister. Does it have an electrical connector on it?

Hard to tell scale from your photo.

If it is the valve for the carbon canister there's a port in the inlet manifold it connects to, the small pipe goes to the canister & there's an electrical plug in the wiring loom for it.

ie. the parts 1, 2 & 3in this diagram:

Thanks Luke,

Thats the info i was looking for.

Yes the valve has a electric connection on it (2 wire) and is always supplied with power when ignition key is "on".

So i can dispose it and plug the connection on the throttle body. My E12 doen't have a pipeline running from the carbon canister at the fuel tank to the engine bay.

Anybody a clue why the engine breadher inlet on the throttle body is heated with the engine coolant?
Is it a problem when i dispose this also?
