So I put some recaros in my car in the wrong colour ( and not bmw but they fit great and are period) and thought it wouldn't be a problem or expensive to get them recovered. Pmsl. I need 5m of cloth for the front seats and ilthe cloth is £95 a meter plus labour and what the seats cost and adaptors.
Well I'm not paying that unfortunately so what colour shall I do my new interior in non original leather of fabric. All suggestions welcome be them sensible . Wild or just plain insulting. :stupidme

Maybe a light nappa leather with some nice plaid inserts?

I need those top recaros as is :smoke

Silly thing is it is cheaper for me to change car colour than interior but I have become quite attached to the innocent beige that no one gives a second thought to. At the moment the seats font match and that just won't do.

I reckon you should try medium brown velour. Had blue velours in my E24 with recaros, really warm & comfy. And very 80's

I'd suggest a deep, rich red colour like this:

But I'm planning to do the same in mine, so you can't ;)

Personally, I'd go for a deep brown/mocha colour, like in the new Mercedes GL range:

I have been so tempted by red and brown would look cool (I was going to spec that on my 5 series but bottled it) but I'm pretty sure I'm going to go safe with black as it's easy to move on if I decide to strip the car.

nooooooooo you cant go with black, i have nothing against black but if your getting them retrimmed then go with something a bit more interesting, especially when your car is so nice to start with. Browns and reds are popular and wouldnt be that hard to move on later if you do decide to strip it.

I with the above, not black, them brown Merc seats look nice and the two tone Recaro's at top.
Look on aardvark site they have a nice mid brown set, I would love.

P.s I have a nice cloth set if your interested :D
If you need your old ones back give me a shout as I have not fitted yet.

Lol your quite safe with those old sprung seats I won't be going back to them :-(

My thinking at the moment is similar to one of the below with matching door cards and rear.

Though the beige recaros at the top of the page are perfect. If anyone has a pair I would gladly swap a lung, kidney or toddler for them. :-)

heres a single one for not a lot of cash at the momenthttp://www.ebay.de/itm/Recaro-Orthopadi ... 2589d4d3ce
and a pair for a bit more cashhttp://www.ebay.de/itm/Recaro-Ideal-LS- ... 2a37a8b69d
the only problem is i cant seem to find any rear seats to match. You could show your trimmer the pics tho and get some similar material and have yours retrimmed in a similar style, they would be unique for sure and if you did decide to sell im sure they would fetch a decent price too.
