Rechroming bumpers

Evening all nick here as I now have my car in bits and pieces I decided to do something with my bumpers as the chrome has faded . The thing is I've been quoted £700-£1200 to re chrome thought that's a bit steep or am I being nieve ??? Bmw want £1500 brand new complete so thought re chroming a bit expensive any thoughts please thanks in advance nick

Re chroming is expensive. I know Nas got some quote up north, where it was cheaper, but still cost a fair chunk of cash.

I cant remember if it was £300 or £250 just for the rear bumper. it certainly made a difference getting it done though, shiny chrome mmm

Classic Chrome in Hinckley (where the Triumph bike come from)
They charged me £180 for an 1985 SL rear bumper (3 parts) + £60 for an E21 front corner.
Whilst the centre & other corner were ok I now wish I'd had them done at the same time as the rechromed part looks so new!
