BMW E21 323i Sydney Australia

Post by johnpaulurizar »

Hello All,

I would like to present my little E21 to this wonderful forum. I am the 4th owner and I purchased this car from a fellow forum member located in Victoria Australia.

It is a straight little car with factory air conditioning, power steering, sunroof, automatic, factory alloy rims, rear spoiler. The interior is a little worn out, but the good news is a brand new interior will installed in July 2014. I have managed to source the door panels front and rear from the largest auction site in the world and the interior kits has been sourced from world upholstery and trim USA ( http://www.xkss.com ) Anyway here are a few images of the car with industrial graphic background.

Yes, finally this wonderful car gets what it deserves, its own topic! Packed with options and in Cashmere paint I believe, one of my all time favorites!

Need more pics! :takepicture

Hi,

Yes, it seems to be a left over from the late 1980's mobile phone hand free technology. The aim is to have it removed in due time.

Thank you for your kind words re the car. I am using the car as a daily driver and quite surprised how nice it is to use in modern traffic.

Question -

Does anyone know if BMW E21 with AC console have any sort of in dash lighting, similar when compared to heater system. My cigarette lighter and AC fan switch have no light what so ever.
Kind regards

Not sure about the AC switch but the lighter should have a light (no pun intended)

Or you could mount an automatic antenna right there

About the AC lighting: (altough i am not sure the evidence is conclusive) i dont think it has lighting, based on this image obtained from BMW classic.

Image

I think they would have depicted any possible lights/bulbs in the switches or console just like they do with for instance the hazard light switch

BTW, this is the AC console you were talking about?? I'm not sure, cause my e21 doesnt have AC :whistle

Hi John Paul, I forgot to mention there is National Motoring Heritage Day on May 18 heading to Mittagong. There are details on the BMWDC website but you do not have to be a member to come along. Let me know if you are interested - should be many different types of cars in attendance.

Hi Gary,

I will mark the 18th of May for the run. Are you going to take your Alpina? Would love to see it and could take some great images of both cars.
Kind regards
