These jap cars are fantastic, for the money its hard to find anything with the same spec, even though its ten years old the aircon blows cold, everything on it works. its properly frugal as well I get 250 miles out of 28 quid.
Anyway im 33 now so I need something with a bit more power for a daily. placed an order for a brand new 335d xdrive touring, I normally loathe diesels and I actually loathe newer bmws too
But you cannot beat a 0-60 in 4.8 seconds / 313hp and 465lb/ft, it even comes with that awesome 8 speed zf box and launch control. and still be getting about 40 mpg. I chose the following extras bigger brakes, tints, xenons, 19" wheels, harmon cardon and the posh split screen satnav, estoril blue and black leather.
I am properly excited about getting it but I know it wont be as fun as the e21.

lol i thought that couldn't have been right either, but its true. power launch on a diesel. I think the 0-60 is so quick because its also 4 wheel drive and an auto.

yep - one thing I am concerned about is the poor orange peeled paint on all these modern bmw's. I am looking at getting it wet sanded I don't think I can live with it..
Also I think it sits too high so I am looking at suspension options, I think I may go for the H&R kit it seems to lower it nicely,
you can get other springs but they lower 20mm and I don't think its enough
