I'm glad you guys agree, 17"s should be a good compromise and fill the arches nicely. I hope to god that's not you driving in your avatar! I guess I've never officially said "hello" neek, but aware of your E21 and bav from bimmerforums and love your design direction. If you can offer any advice when it comes to air suspension, including which kit would be the best it would be really helpful.
I built the Bavaria air ride from a pair of Air Lift constructors kit.

Thanks, I've bookmarked this. I guess this won't have been the reason you did it. However, was there any improvements in ride and handling too?

Top project was going to offer you a alpina M30 head but I see your going with a newer lump.

For bakes lee at massive brakes had a few e12 spec alloy bells in if you want the base of a BBK

Yeah thanks Jason. I saw that head you were selling and I even had a 735i at the time with a good engine I could have mated it too. We're going for an Alpina 3.3 now which will be a good fit. I'm not sure what to do for the brakes, perhaps use a combination of some B10 ones I have or like you say go for a big brake kit. Would like to pick your brains closer the time.

I have some very nice Scheel front seats that I may part with.

I also have some genuine 16" staggered open lug Alpina's which I nay consider selling at the right price

Thanks Mobster, we already have scheels and already have alpine wheels.

regarding brakes , have to do some measurements of the current system, hoping I can adapt the e39 brakes, luckily the car takes 5x120 pattern so we should be able to find something that works.

E3 will use a smaller centre bore so any later brake disk will need a spigot ring

Abid, the caps themselves are fairly reasonably priced $99: http://www.coupeking.com/?post_type=parts&p=3490

Just be careful of the import tax, as it's this what stung me. Coupeking also have these on an ebay america shop, which is where I bought them from. I made an offer $10 less than they're asking they could say yes - saving you a bit more.

Can't wait to see progress on this, especially as I'm likely going to learn a lot from you/Nas before I tackle mine.
