Door Mouldings and clips

So as you can probably tell, I seem to be doing a bit of work on my 320/6, priests don' exactly have a wage, but when SOME money does present itself, I spend it on my lovely car, which basically replaces having a wife and is probably cheaper in maintaining

So I have been trying to get a moulding for my left hand door for a few years now, and either they're too expensive or you just won't find them for a few months on end. I made one out of a wooden strip and covered it in Aluminium foil, then cut the inner tube of an old bicycle tyre and stuck a long strip all along, sounds weird, but it actually looked kind of "OK". My mum said its looking weird now as the sun has shrunk the rubber and its warped. So here are my questions.

1) Where can I find a moulding for less than £20
2) Are these the clips I need for the E21 320/6?

My car is several hundred miles away so I can't exactly check, however these clips seem pretty universal. I entered it in the eBay compatibility thing, and it seems to match, but if my memory serves me well they don't look like the ones I have.

Thanks for all your help guys!
Bless!

Why would you want it then? But it is a silver coloured adhesive strip you can stick onto your car. I had one on the bumper of my peugeot 205.

I don't want it, I was considering it if some one would have recommended it. The clips are confusing me.. :(
Some clips where like this:

And others, like this (kind of) though I think they had a metal bolt:

Believe you need one with the thread on it to be able to slide the moulding on and then fix it with a plastic nut. The others are the fully plastic ones with the plastic pins.
