low rev bhp for the s14 b20 engine (320is)

Post by rui freitas »

hi!!! I´m new here and of course another Portuguese  if you whant some extra bhp you can have it almost for free its not much but it noticeble at least at low revs ... the spark cables ,even new ,loose some capabilety to isolate electrical sparks after the engine is at running at temperature(hot) and because they are in contact whith each other confined to a "box". so to get that extra bhp at low revs all you have to do is keep the isolated from one to another... and trust me it realy makes a difference.I´ve put them each one confined to a pvc ramp and even at idle its more stable . cables are new about 3000km and have done about 1000km ago ...hope it helps in someone in some way... best regards to you all!!!

There are several aftermarket sets of ignition wires that are designed to go without the wiring loom (the box). But I can't imagine the problem will occur with a new set. But new sets wear faster in the original loom.

i've just bought a used but very good wiring loom from a M3, but i saw that it makes some nasty twists inside the box... :?

More HP giving air between the ignition cables? well that would be enough for the Stoccolma Nobel i think
