A number of the Malaysian victims in the MH17 disaster come home today. I would like to thank the people of Holland for treating the remains of all the victims in this tragedy with a great deal of dignity and care.

Today has been declared an official day of mourning in Malaysia. Everyone has been requested to maintain a minute's silence between 10.45 a.m. and 11.15 a.m., when a Malaysia Airlines Boeing 747- 400F freighter is expected to arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport from Amsterdam with the remains of some of the Malaysian victims. There is a terrible sense of sadness here in Malaysia for the loss of both MH17 and MH370. Many of the staff at my office are wearing black today in respect for the victims of MH17.

Thank you again Holland for treating the victims of this tragedy with dignity and care.

Yatis,

I am from Holland and I too am impressed with the treatment given to the victims here, and in Malaysia, as I just saw in the news. It is the least we can do after the crash and the hassles in monkey country Ukraine.

Wishing all strength in dealing with the tragic and inconceivable losses.

Jeroen

Today is the tenth anniversary of the loss of MH17. I had a lump in my throat this morning when I read the story in the link below about how the widow and children of Captain Eugene Choo, the commander of MH17, have continued with their lives after their tragic loss. My thoughts are with them and the other victims of this senseless tragedy on this sad anniversary. My thanks too to the Dutch people for maintaining the MH17 National Monument as a permanent memorial to the victims of this tragedy.

Yeah, 10 years gone since that horrific incident. Seems like yesterday.

A lot of attention in the Dutch media as well of course, yes, it feels so fresh, not like 10 years already!
