Can anyone help me out with the linkage on my box-fresh weber 32/36 dgav?
Had it confirmed that it would bolt straigth on - but the linkage does not match up.
Everything was going so great...

now I'm back with my solex didta.
Appreciate all input.

Talking to myself here but maybe useful to someone else in the future.
So the weber 32/36 dgav bolts on perfectly (need two spacers) and the universal linkage kit works, but not very well.
- It was very easy to install. The only part where I was holding my breath was when I had to cut the accelorator cable to thread it through the cable clamp. No turning back after that!
- Great sound when the second step opens up!
- Remarkable difference in performance!
On the other hand..
- Not great build quality of this kit compared to the weber itself. Sloppy fit.
- Only one little screw that clamps the cable doesn't give me peace of mind. Must remember to adjust the accelorator pedal stop inside the car - I didn't and pushed it too far this morning and the cable popped of the cable clamp.
- The action of the throttle is not very smooth. Kind of "all or nothing" feeling - sudden and a little uncomfortable.
Will post pics.

Hmmmm always interested though! What's wrong with the build quality?
As for the accelerator cable, noob error, is a standard check when installing new components that have to do with the gas cable on both carb and injected cars. Luckily easy to fix in this case. Friend of mine forgot and popped of the end, but luckily the AA was able to help him on his way again with a bicycle brake clamp.

The build quality of the weber is great - but I didn't feel the universal kit was as good. The wheel didnt fit the square bolt on the carb very well (bigger hole), and the cable holder doesn't look or feel very solid. Can't say there is anything wrong with it - just expected more..
ps: I was lucky - the cable didn't go out of the cable holder so I could get it back on without problems

did get a little worried if i would make it to work in time that day thought!
