Help identify old gear knob.

Hi im having a clearout and found this.
not sure if its a E21 or a 2002 (2 series)
i thinks its a E21
can anyone advise me.
once i found out what car its for i will be selling but not sure on the value.

Looks like it has threath inside, so it's a screw on? In that case it'll fit a e21 and a 02, but also e12, e9 etc. Price? Whatever they give for it, it's not in that great a state.

yeah true but looks like its 25 yrs old but i think a little tlc and polish it will look good.

I just bought one for the e12. Screws straight on the getrag 265 shaft.
I think for most bmw manuals but seen old pics with an e12 530 mtu south african or something like with one,
value I paid £12 delivered to the door, origional varnish, no splits in wood and no cracks or scratches in plastic.
mine has a plastic insert ìn the back, looks like yours is missing.
new on ebay for £34
To me not worth the effort.

My old pre-facelift e21 had one of these shift knobs. They do look nice polished up, but not sure that one is easily salvageable.
