Just bought the cleanest e30 I've seen in a long time, couldn't help myself. '91 320ise auto in black, 81k, all the history and one family owner from new. Had it been a 325 manual I'd be even happier but I haven't seen anything quite so clean for a long time.

Not bad! Drop in a 2.5 M20 or 2.8 M50 and you'll have loads of fun!

If I were keeping it I would definitely go B20 2.5 manual but it would be a shame to mess with such an original car, so it will stay original.

I have my 2.5 cabriolet to play engines with if I want!

Went to collect the car today, it wasn't quite as good as the description. Needed a lot of paintwork, the driver's seat was threadbare, snotty welding at the rear, but the killer was the rusty roof. I know its repairable but I've been there before and it wasn't a lot of fun, plus it means painting the whole roof!
So I left it with the owner.

Always the same story. If you talk to the seller you're buying an absolute minter until you get there. Then there's tons of excuses oh well its mint forits age, not much rust, Ive seen worse, etc. Be honest or try to sell a car to Stevie Wonder you ! Hope you shared some of your opinion with the idiot.

Actually I think the seller was being honest and just didn't know what he was doing. But the moral is try before you buy!
