Starting problems

Any suggestions would be most welcome

I've an 82 323 e21 that has recently returned to the road after spending many years in my garage. A far bit of work has been completed including fuel pump, accumulator, filter, regulator, s/s exhaust, brakes , hoses, etc , etc but I have one problem that caused me to miss my ferry to this year's sharknose meet, and to this day continues to cause me stress. Albeit, a bit lumpy, i can start the car, drive it, however when I return, leave the car for an hour or so, it will not start, it'll turn but refuses to fire.

The following morning, it starts no problem.

Ahhhhhh

The horror! Did you ever check, during or after these failed startup attempts, if you had fuel, wet plugs, a spark? The lumpy start appears not to have anything to do with this but with adjustments. The warm start, I'd suspect the ignition pulse sender and control module first, and try to bypass the fuel pump relay perhaps?

Thanks Mihajlo's, I thought it was that too so had the regulator refurbished, but it didn't solve the problem.

I had a similar problem many years ago with a 4 cyl E21. It turned out to have something to do with "fuel pressure".
